What is the verification process for fundraiser & fund transfer approval?

We strive to obtain comprehensive documentation related to the patient's medical care and expenses. We verify & collect all documents related to the patient, including but not limited to itemized bills, medical certificate/estimate, admission report, discharge summary, medical records, and expense documents.
We reserve the right to conduct physical visits and/or photo/video verification as deemed necessary. Such verification measures may apply not only to patients but also to vendors, medical institutions, and other relevant parties, as applicable.

Can I donate to a specific campaign or cause?

Yes, you can choose to support a specific patient campaign, a program (e.g. Curative Healthcare, Education Support, etc.), or give general support to be used where most needed.

Where does my donation go?

Donations are routed directly to the causes of the Care Guru Foundation.

Can I remain anonymous as a donor?

Yes, donors may opt to hide their identity on public pages. However, for tax receipts and compliance, your PAN and address details will be needed privately.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

Yes, you will receive an acknowledgement with your donation receipt via Email or WhatsApp once your transaction is completed and you have provided your PAN, address and communication details (WhatsApp number &/or email id and postal address).

Can I get tax benefits on my donation?

Yes, donations (of INR 500 or above) are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, post declaration of the donor’s PAN and address details before the end of the financial year in which the donation was made.
